O.K., I'll give it a try. You wrote:

The difference in fuel economy between the average minivan and the average SUV is negligible, and the size difference is even less! So WHY aren't all of you also yelling at the minivan drivers, telling them to drive safer, more fuel-efficient station-wagons instead??? SUVs are taller than passenger cars and take up more space. So do minivans.

Well, I'll be honest. I haven't measured.

Addressed above!

Well, the person who wrote:

Like you said, soccer moms are a great example of people who use them for a good reason, to transport large groups of obnoxious children to places. It is truly sad to see the level of intelligence of the anti-SUV groupies on this forum. You spout off your arguments without any real statistics to back you up, and when someone calls you on principles, you shut the hell up.

Maybe I missed something, but I didn't really see any principles in your arguments! And you did ignore the one or two posts that DID address your questions, which doesn't really add much to the sincerity of your arguments, or the genuineness of your questions. Were you really looking for an answer? Because there WERE SOME intelligent answers/arguements.

I'm sure I haven't listed the definitive argument, or set of statistics here. But I genuinely think I've made several good points! I'd like to see you (or anyone else, for that matter) address them!

TIA,

Pam
