Te best selling vehicles in the USA are pickup trucks. These vehicles:

- pollute as much as SUVs
- have fuel economy as bad as SUVs
- are MORE dangerous to other vehicles in accidents than SUVs

If you really want to target the "big fish", why not push people to buy more fuel efficient vehicles? There are almost as many poser pickups out there now as poser SUVs. Most pickups you see in mall parking lots have nothing in the bed, which seems to be the way you judge whether someone uses their vehicle for its intended purpose or not.

Similarly, the argument I made about minivans also applies. My point is that you are NOT arguing on principles here. THAT is what I take issue with. If you have a problem with vehicles that are not fuel efficient, where do draw the line and why?
