Perhaps placing such signs make for a funny April Fools' Day prank, but is wrong. Only the government has the right to put up street signs and issue citations. Those responsible for this prank should be arrested.
Is anyone on the band wagon against exotic sports cars? They are not exactly fuel efficient. If a person wants to buy a full size SUV, then it is his or her prerogative. Considering there are some full size SUVs that have very similar highway mileage to mid size SUVs, purchasing a full size SUV may be more advantageous for the average suburban family that desires a go anywhere vehicle. For the average New Yorker who's idea of a forest is three trees on a given block, an SUV may be be appropriate.
I live in upstate NY and depend on my Chevy Tahoe to handle rough roads and the vicious winters. A car based SUV would not last under the conditions that I subject my vehicle to.
